VIVIAN MOYO
Trauma-Informed Coach | Trauma Survivor | Author | Speaker | Podcast Host |
My name is Vivian Moyo. I am a Trauma-Informed Coach, Trauma Survivor, Lived Experience Expert, Author of The Invisible Girl: Breaking the Silence of Trauma, Speaker, Podcast Host, and Founder of Moyo Wellness Therapy.
My work is rooted in both professional experience and lived experience. Over the past 10 years, I have supported individuals across community, wellbeing, education, and support services, while dedicating my work to helping women understand childhood trauma, regulate their nervous system, heal emotional wounds, and move beyond survival mode through trauma-informed coaching and education.
I lost my mother at the age of three, experienced emotional abandonment from my father, and later navigated the heartbreak of two miscarriages by the age of 25. These experiences shaped my nervous system and created survival patterns that followed me into adulthood.
For many years, I lived with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing, low self-worth, and a deep sense of disconnection from myself. Like many trauma survivors, I didn't realise these were survival responses until I began to understand the impact childhood trauma can have on the mind, body, and nervous system.
My healing journey taught me that trauma is not just stored in our memories it can also affect our nervous system, emotions, relationships, beliefs, and sense of self. As I learned more about trauma, I began to understand why I thought, felt, and responded the way I did. Through nervous system regulation, guided journaling, meditation, breathwork, affirmations, inner child healing, and Human Design, I gradually rebuilt a sense of safety within myself and discovered that healing is possible.
Today, through personalised 1:1 trauma-informed coaching, I help women understand the impact of childhood trauma, regulate their nervous system, heal emotional wounds, rebuild their confidence, and reconnect with themselves. Alongside my coaching, I continue to educate and empower women through my book, The Invisible Girl: Breaking the Silence of Trauma, and the Moyo Wellness Therapy Podcast, where I share practical education, personal insights, and healing tools to support recovery and emotional wellbeing.
I believe that healing begins with understanding. My mission is to help women recognise that they are not broken they are responding to what they have survived and that with the right support, healing, hope, and lasting transformation are possible.
