Helping women recover from the effects of childhood trauma by understanding their nervous system, healing emotional wounds, rebuilding their identity, and moving beyond survival mode toward a life of confidence, hope, and healing.
Vivian Moyo
My name is Vivian Moyo, and I am a Trauma-Informed Coach, Childhood Trauma Lived Experience Expert, Author, Speaker, Podcast Host, and Founder of Moyo Wellness Therapy.
My work is rooted in both trauma-informed practice and lived experience. I lost my mother at the age of three, experienced emotional abandonment from my father, and later navigated the heartbreak of two miscarriages by the age of 25. These experiences shaped my understanding of trauma, grief, and the long-lasting impact childhood experiences can have on our emotional wellbeing.
For many years, I lived in survival mode without fully understanding why. I struggled with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing, low self-worth, and feeling disconnected from myself. Like many survivors of childhood trauma, I believed these were simply parts of my personality. It wasn't until I began my own healing journey that I discovered how deeply childhood trauma shapes the nervous system, our relationships, our identity, and the way we move through the world.
As someone with lived experience, I understand what it feels like to carry invisible wounds while trying to appear strong on the outside. My healing journey taught me that recovery isn't about becoming someone different it's about helping your nervous system feel safe, healing the emotional wounds of the past, and reconnecting with the person you were always meant to be.
That journey inspired me to create Moyo Wellness Therapy a safe and compassionate space where women can begin their own recovery from childhood trauma. Through trauma-informed coaching, nervous system education, emotional healing, and identity rebuilding, I support women in moving beyond survival mode and building lives rooted in safety, confidence, hope, and purpose.
Alongside my coaching, I am the author of The Invisible Girl: Breaking the Silence of Trauma, where I share my personal story to help others feel seen, understood, and less alone. I also host the Moyo Wellness Therapy Podcast, where I explore topics including childhood trauma, nervous system regulation, emotional wellbeing, healing, relationships, and personal growth.
I believe healing is possible. No matter what you've survived, your past does not have to define your future. With the right support, understanding, and compassion, you can learn to regulate your nervous system, heal from childhood trauma, rebuild your identity, and create a life that is no longer led by survival, but by peace, confidence, and hope.
The body remembers what the mind tries to forget. Healing begins when we create enough safety for both to recover.
WHAT I DO?
At Moyo Wellness Therapy, I help women heal from the effects of childhood trauma by supporting them to regulate their nervous system, heal emotional wounds, rebuild their identity, and move beyond survival mode.
Healing is about more than changing your thoughts. Childhood trauma can leave your nervous system stuck in survival mode, making it difficult to feel safe, trust yourself, build healthy relationships, or experience lasting peace. My approach focuses on helping both the mind and body heal, because lasting recovery begins when your nervous system learns that it is safe again.
Using a trauma-informed approach, I guide women through practical tools that support emotional healing and nervous system regulation, including guided journaling, affirmations, meditation, breathwork, grounding techniques, mindfulness, and reflective exercises. Together, these practices help you reconnect with yourself, build emotional resilience, and create lasting change from the inside out.
Alongside one-to-one coaching, I am passionate about making trauma education accessible. Through my book, The Invisible Girl: Breaking the Silence of Trauma, and the Moyo Wellness Therapy Podcast, I share honest conversations, education, and practical guidance on childhood trauma, nervous system regulation, emotional wellbeing, healing, identity, relationships, and personal growth, helping women understand that they are not broken, but responding to what they have survived.
Whether you are taking your first steps towards healing or continuing your recovery journey, my mission is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can understand your story, regulate your nervous system, heal from childhood trauma, and build a life rooted in safety, confidence, hope, and purpose.
Heal your nervous system. Recover from childhood trauma. Rebuild your life.
